Ag minister says Russia may harvest 73 mln tns of wheat in 2017
YAROSLAVL, Jul 25 (PRIME) -- Russia’s wheat harvest may remain flat on the year at about 73 million tonnes in 2017, Agriculture Minister Alexander Tkachyov said on Tuesday at a meeting of a Yaroslavl Region governor council.
“The wheat harvest is likely to remain flat on the year,” he said.
The ministry expects Russia’s grain harvest to fall to 100–105 million tonnes in net weight in 2017 after a record of 120.7 million tonnes in 2016.
